Build a Self-Watering Container from Soda Bottles

Need a container for your new plant but don't want to purchase a new container?

Try making one out of soda bottles.

Procedures:

1. Gather the following: 1.5 soda bottles, knife and scissors.

2. Remove the label.

3. Prick a hole in the bottle.

4. Cut the bottle into half.
5. The top portion of the bottle will be the pot, the bottom portion will be the water container.
6. Poke holes in the cap.

7. Poke holes in the upper portion of the bottle.
8. The holes will be for drainage.
9. Place the upper part of the bottle upside down on the other half.

10. Filled the lower part of the bottle with water.

11. Place soil in the bottle that will serve as a pot. Place on top of the other half with water.
12. Plant your favorite vegetables and flowers. Occasionally change the water on the bottom container to avoid mosquitoes from laying eggs on it.

 ENJOY!!
